Niclas Fullkrug may have taken famous photo ahead of West Ham United transfer

Tim Steidten may have taken another “famous” plane photo alongside Niclas Fullkrug ahead of his possible move to West Ham, according to West Ham Football.

The Hammers source has reported on 1 August that Fullkrug is thought to be in England after a private jet took off from Dortmund on Thursday morning.

It is said that Steidten flew back to Germany from Florida to potentially close the transfer, as the striker may not have travelled on Borussia Dortmund’s pre-season tour.

Niclas Fullkrug is a stellar transfer for West Ham United

The Hammers are in dire need of attacking reinforcement and Fullkrug is arguably one of the strongest additions that Julen Lopetegui could’ve made despite the links to players such as Tammy Abraham [Corriere Della Sera, 1 August, page 9].

The Dortmund man had a stellar Euro 2024 campaign and could have the right skillset to take the Hammers’ attack up an extra gear.

Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus will no doubt still be the main attacking options for the club but Fullkrug will hopefully help offer an extra outlet for the duo to look towards.

The German’s addition could benefit the team as a whole as it would help take pressure off of their wingers and would give the team more confidence in their attack.

Patrick Berger reported via X (1 August) that Lopetegui’s side had made a bid for the attacker to try to finalise a deal with a lucrative contract.

Whilst nothing is set in stone yet, it feels like all that’s left to sort on the deal is for it to be officially announced.

In other West Ham news, the club are a matter of paperwork away from signing Crysencio Summerville.
