Nayef Aguerd included in West Ham United bid as Jean-Clair Todibo transfer twist emerges
West Ham included Nayef Aguerd in the offer as they submitted a bid to secure the services of Nice defender Jean-Clair Todibo, according to Foot Mercato.
The news outlet reported on 5 July that Nice have rejected that offer after turning down a previous one that saw Kurt Zouma included.
While the 24-year-old is expected to leave, the Ligue 1 side are unlikely to let him go for a discount.
Jean-Clair Todibo will be an ideal transfer for West Ham
Todibo would be an ideal transfer for the Hammers as he is a highly talented young defender who has already proven himself in Ligue 1.
His skill set, which includes strong tackling, good positioning and composure on the ball, would greatly enhance Julen Lopetegui’s backline.
The Irons’ defence has been a weak point for the last few seasons and the addition of Todibo would significantly strengthen the side.
His presence would provide much-needed stability and reliability.
The France international’s age and potential for growth mean that he could be a long-term solution for West Ham’s defensive needs, potentially saving the club significant funds in the future.

However, given the growing interest in his services, it will be hard to secure his transfer this summer.
In other West Ham news, the Hammers have made a significant transfer swoop as a bid has been submitted for a Euro 2024 star which is the highest one received by the club.
