Morato's contract examined after West Ham switch: Wages, duration and amortisation

The Brazilian sealed a late switch to the London Stadium from Nottingham Forest on loan.
There were mixed feelings surrounding his addition, but there was a plus that it seemingly halted a deal for Wout Faes.
Nuno Espirito Santo has already gotten some use out of the defender recently in claret and blue.
He has surprisingly been deployed at left-back, but there have been some positive signs.

What is Morato's West Ham wage?
With the 2001-born defender moving on loan, the Hammers will only cover his wage for the year.
These sort of temporary additions were always going to be necessary after being relegated to the Championship last season.
A raft of fresh faces coming in, with the Forest loanee being one of the very last of the window.
Reports suggest that the Irons are paying Morato a figure in the region of £35,000-per-week for his services.
That equates to around £1.8million for the year with his loan set to run until the end of the campaign.
That does look to be money well spent so far, with his Dockers Derby performance proving a point.
How has Morato performed for West Ham?
The Brazilian is coming off the back of three starts on the bounce for the Irons.
Morato has now featured in the derby against Millwall and certainly made his presence felt.
He had some mixed moments, but did put himself about and his celebrations will have certainly endeared him to supporters.
If he can carry on how he's performed so far, his wage will be well worth it.
Then it will be an interesting to see what happens at the end of his loan and whether he sticks around.
That will all likely hinge on whether West Ham are promoted back to the Premier League at the first time of asking or not.
