Mohammed Kudus set to jet into London for West Ham United medical on Saturday as deal agreed with Ajax
Mohammed Kudus is due to fly into London today to undergo a medical ahead of signing for West Ham after a deal was agreed with Ajax, reports The Mirror.
Writing on their official website (26 August), the newspaper outlet report that the Ghana international is due to put pen-to-paper on a five-year deal at the London Stadium to follow Edson Alvarez, James Ward-Prowse and Dinos Mavropanos as new signings this summer.
Technical director Tim Steidten flew to Bulgaria to seal the deal with Ajax, with the forward netting a hat-trick to help them defeat Ludogrets before agreeing a move to West Ham.
“Technical director Tim Steidten flew to Bulgaria on Thursday to tie up the deal for Kudus after he scored a hat-trick in Ajax’s Europa League win over Ludogorets,” they wrote.
“The Ghanian is expected to fly to London with Steidten on Saturday before having a medical. Personal terms have already been agreed and he will sign a five-year deal to become the second arrival in East London from Amsterdam after Mexico midfielder Edson Alvarez.”

After losing Gianluca Scamacca this summer to Atalanta, there were some question marks about if our attack would be be left weaker than it was last season.
But with the signing of Kudus you could argue that it’s now stronger as the Ghana international comes in with Champions League and World Cup experience that the Italian never had.
His versatility is also something that should be considered a coup as he is capable of playing in midfield or across the front line, and his eye for goal is sensational.
There were a host of top clubs linked with a move for Kudus but West Ham moved quickly and efficiently to get a deal done and over the line, and now fans can be excited about his link up with the rest of the squad.
Lucas Paqueta’s expected stay at the club also makes us a more forward thinking team, and the midfield can still be feared across the league even without Declan Rice – even if it is for different reasons.
