Mohammed Kudus completes West Ham United medical to finalise signing on Sunday – Fabrizio Romano
Mohammed Kudus has completed his medical ahead of a move to West Ham United, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Romano reported (26 August) that the 23-year-old Ghanaian international is set to sign a contract on Sunday (27 August) which will run until 2028 with an option to extend.
Kudus becomes the Hammers’ fourth first-team signing and is set to join in a deal worth up to £38million, per Sky Sports (25 August).
Finally
Following their excellent start to the Premier League season, top-of-the-table West Ham United have something else to be excited about.
This transfer saga had been rumbling on across the summer, with Kudus initially linked to Premier League rivals Brighton, with the Athletic reporting (5 August) that a deal had been reached between the Seagulls and Ajax.
However, West Ham secured their man and he looks to add to an already improved midfield this season. After an 18-goal haul for Ajax last season, the Ghanaian international is set to add a new dimension at the London Stadium.
Kudus will come in very handy for West Ham across all competitions. His vast European experience could go a long way in the Hammers’ Europa League expectations this season, with Kudus already proving his ability to thrive on the international stage this season following a hattrick in a qualifier for the Dutch giants.
Outside the footballing benefits of Kudus’ deal, at just 23 years of age, he comes with plenty of resale value as long as he maintains his excellent standards in Stratford.

After Declan Rice’s departure earlier in the window, many feared that West Ham would not be able to replace his output and importance to the side.
However, with Kudus joining new signings James Ward-Prowse and Edson Alvarez, who both contributed significantly to their 3-1 dismantling of Brighton on Saturday (26 August), David Moyes’ midfield looks safe for many seasons to come.
While expectations slowly growing in the stands of the London Stadium, Kudus could be the latest star in East London.
In other West Ham News, Frank McAvennie has fumed as a decision that went against the Hammers against Chelsea.
