Michail Antonio reacts to Kalvin Phillips West Ham transfer news live on Sky Sports
Michail Antonio has reacted live on air to the reports that West Ham are closing in on the signing of Kalvin Phillips from Manchester City in the January transfer window.
Speaking on Sky Sports Premier League on Wednesday (24 January), host Mark Chapman asked the 33-year-old Hammers forward about his thoughts on the England international potentially making the switch to the London Stadium.
With a wry smile on his face, the Jamaica international said: “It’s the first I’m hearing of that.”
He burst into laughter with Chapman telling him to “behave yourself”.

It was a potentially tricky question for Antonio to answer as there isn’t anything finalised with Phillips’ move to West Ham, but he got out of it by making a joke of the situation.
Chapman probably never really expected much of a serious answer from the forward as he often likes to have a laugh whenever the opportunity comes about.
Antonio will likely be clued up on where the deal is at as the 28-year-old midfielder is expected to undergo his medical at Rush Green on Thursday (25 January).
The Hammers players will probably be excited to see the England international is on the verge of making the switch as he will add extra quality to the squad for the second half of the campaign.
But there are still the final details of the move to finalise before we can start to think about where he will fit into the side ahead of our next game against Bournemouth on 1 February.
In other West Ham news, the Hammers are set to announce a new behind-the-scenes appointment.
