Marcus Rashford transfer: Permanent move on cards in huge West Ham twist

West Ham United are still in the race to sign Marcus Rashford from Manchester United in the winter transfer window, according to TEAMtalk.

The news outlet reports (23 January) that the Hammers still have a possibility of completing a huge deal for the 27-year-old before 3 February.

While the English forward is open to a move abroad, he’s keen to stay in the Premier League.

The Irons want the winger on loan in the coming weeks before possibly making the move permanent in the summer of 2025.

West Ham United to seal Marcus Rashford transfer?

Rashford has been a key player at Manchester United over the years, but the Englishman has lost his influence since Ruben Amorim’s arrival.

While the East London club are certainly ambitious, it would be a massive shock to see the 27-year-old make the switch to the London Stadium.

Graham Potter has a good reputation in the Premier League after what he did at Brighton, but it will arguably be difficult for him to convince the forward.

West Ham could seemingly do with someone like Rashford in their squad, considering the lack of creativity they’ve shown this season.

Potter has struggled for options in the number nine position, with Niclas Fullkrug and Michail Antonio sidelined for the foreseeable future.

Rashford would undoubtedly be a brilliant signing for the Hammers, and his arrival would be considered a coup for them.

It will be interesting to see where the England international will be after the winter window.
