Manchester United reach Aaron Wan-Bissaka exit agreement ahead of West Ham United transfer

Manchester United have agreed exit terms with Aaron Wan-Bissaka ahead of his transfer to West Ham United, according to Dharmesh Sheth.

The Sky Sports journalist reported via X on Sunday (11 August) that the English defender is now set to undergo a medical with the hammers on Monday (12 August) morning ahead of a move to East London.

Both clubs and the player have now managed to reach agreements on all aspects of the summer transfer which will allow the Manchester United man to become the latest addition to Julen Lopetegui’s ranks at the London Stadium.

Wan-Bissaka had been expected to complete his medical with the Irons on Sunday, but that was delayed as the Red Devils hadn’t yet managed to finalise terms for him to depart Old Trafford [Dharmseh Sheth, 11 August].

Will Aaron Wan-Bissaka exit Manchester United ahead of West Ham transfer?

Neither Manchester United nor West Ham ever suggested that this deal was hanging in the balance following the delay, but this latest update shows that it shouldn’t be too long before we see Wan-Bissaka in claret and blue.

This transfer may not have been as plain sailing as some have been this summer, but it looks as though Tim Steidten and Lopetegui are once again going to get their man ahead of the new season.

Wan-Bissaka may not be as exciting an addition as somebody like Jean-Clair Todibo or even Crysencio Summerville, but he may be just as if not more important to Lopetegui’s project at the London Stadium this season.

The Hammers’ defence was a major cause for concern under David Moyes last term and alongside the likes of Todibo and Max Kilman, the Manchester United man will be hoping to change that over the next few months.

Hopefully, the medical will go off without a hitch tomorrow and Wan-Bissaka will be announced as a new West Ham player sooner rather than later so preparations can really begin ahead of the clash with Aston Villa.
