Mads Hermansen could finally seal West Ham exit as late twist emerges before deadline
Mads Hermansen has endured a horror start to life at West Ham United.
West Ham signed Hermansen from Leicester over the summer after their relegation, with the Dane made number one under Graham Potter.
Hermansen was nowhere near good enough, however, and Alphonse Areola has cemented the gloves under Nuno Espirito Santo.
Now, he could be set to leave already ahead of the deadline.
Mads Hermansen set for late exit at London Stadium
Hermansen was initially wanted by Fiorentina, but a move to Italy never materialised.
However, a new twist has emerged hours before the deadline, with a return to Leicester City now on the cards already.
Jacob Steinberg has reported that Leicester are interested in a loan, with several other Championship clubs also watching on.
Despite the interest, West Ham are currently hesitant to sanction a move.
However, with the World Cup coming up this summer, Hermansen could still be granted his wish to earn more regular football.
West Ham to continue crazy transfer window up until deadline
West Ham have been by far the busiest team in the Premier League over the past month.
Adama Traore is the latest arrival from Fulham, but they have also sanctioned several outgoings, some of them for rather large fees.
Of course, the £35million-plus exit for Lucas Paqueta takes the headlines, but bringing in over £17m for Luis Guilherme was also a brilliant piece of business.

Hermansen obviously wouldn’t immediately help with PSR should he move on loan, but on a personal level, it’s the right move.
Lukasz Fabianski will hopefully return to action from injury soon, which should open the door for movement out in that department.
There is no room for sentiment, however, so if the move isn’t right for the Hammers, they have to be brutal and close that door.
All it takes is another injury to Fabianski or Areola picking up an issue, and Hermansen would be needed in the very deep end of a relegation battle.
There are many worse options to have as your third choice, should that scenario unfold.
