Luis Guilherme January transfer decision made at West Ham United

West Ham United will not let Luis Guilherme leave in the January transfer window, according to TBR Football.

The outlet reported via their website on 27 November that the 18-year-old is attracting interest from clubs in the Championship, Brazil, Belgium and France, but not even a loan is being considered as things stand.

However, the Irons’ stance could change if the attacker goes into January without making a single start for the East London outfit.

It has come as a surprise that Guilherme has clocked just 11 minutes of playing time for the Hammers as they forked out £25million to sign him from Palmeiras in the summer [Daily Mail].

Julen Lopetegui has reportedly been unimpressed by the Brazil Under-20s international, raising eyebrows internally at the London Stadium.

However, it appears that West Ham have no plans to pull the plug on Guilherme yet and are prepared to stay patient with him.

Guilherme is not best pleased with the amount of playing time he has had but has nevertheless settled into life in London and is prepared to fight for his place under Lopetegui.

It would not make sense for Lopetegui to throw the 18-year-old in the deep end if he believes he is not ready to feature heavily for the Irons yet.

It, therefore, remains to be seen how the winger will progress between now and January.

Should West Ham change their stance and open the door for a loan exit, Guilherme will certainly not be short of options, with clubs in four different countries interested in him.
