Lucas Paqueta drops huge deadline day hint on Instagram amid West Ham exit talk

Lucas Paqueta has indicated what his future at West Ham will look like after he posted an image on social media.

Paqueta scored in West Ham’s 3-0 versus Nottingham Forest as Graham Potter secured his side’s first win of the season.

Potter had been under immense scrutiny before the match, but Paqueta was one of West Ham’s star performers at the City Ground as West Ham fought out a brilliant away win.

After scoring a penalty, Paqueta celebrated by gesturing a phone call, before hanging up the call and kissing the West Ham badge.

Since this, he has taken to social media to provide further clarity on his future.

Lucas Paqueta set to stay at West Ham following Instagram post

Paqueta reposted a picture from West Ham’s account that highlighted his man of the match display against Nottingham Forest.

As seen in the image above, Paqueta is grabbing his chest just underneath the West Ham badge.

It can be clearly inferred that a player who would be leaving the club on deadline day would not post something like that on his social media.

Paqueta has been one of West Ham’s star players over the last three years, playing a big role in their Europa Conference League win in 22/23, and constantly providing moments of magic.

West Ham fans will be delighted at the fact that the 28-year-old is almost certainly staying, and they’ll be hoping the club secures another midfielder to play alongside Paqueta before the window closes.

West Ham intensify approach for Hayden Hackney as they miss out on Fabio Vieira

Fabio Vieira won’t be joining West Ham on deadline day as he is set for a move to Bundesliga side Hamburg.

Yet West Ham could finalise a move for young midfielder Hackney, with Potter incredibly keen on the midfielder.

Middlesbrough will likely demand over £25m for Hackney, with the club sat top of the Championship and unwilling to sell one of their prized stars.

With just hours left of the transfer window, West Ham fans will be nervously waiting to see if they can make yet another addition to their midfield.
