Luca Pellegrini rejects West Ham, wants to stay at Juventus
Luca Pellegrini has rejected an approach by West Ham as he wants to stay at Juventus this season, according to Alfredo Pedulla.
The TvDelloSport journalist made the claim via his personal Twitter profile on Monday afternoon.
“Pellegrini: No to West Ham, wants to stay at Juve,” Pedulla wrote.
Move on
Of all transfer blows, this one is unlikely to sting West Ham fans too much.
Goal Italia journalist Romeo Agresti reported on Sunday that the east London side wanted to recruit the 22-year-old left-back on a loan from the Seria A giants.
Pellegrini spent the 2020/21 campaign on loan at Genoa but made just 11 league appearances owing to a persistent injury issue that saw him miss the summer’s European Under-21 Championship.
He does have a senior cap to his name as well, gained against Estonia last November.
While he looks to be a highly-rated talent, it’s not an area that is of immediate concern for David Moyes.

Aaron Cresswell is still performing wonders at left-back while Arthur Masuaku is still at the club and may have a bigger role to play after spending much of last season on the treatment table.
Long-term, it’s an area Moyes will have to address given their respective ages, but for now, the Scot can rest assured he has quality options there.
