‘Lets see’ – talkSPORT journo shares club stance on West Ham Armando Broja chase
Southampton are not worried by reported interest from West Ham in striker Armando Broja over a January deal, according to talkSPORT journalist Alex Crook.
West Ham are in the market for a striker this month and with a month left of the transfer window, reports have seen them linked with a move for the Albanian [Daniel Gabbidon].
Broja is currently on loan at Southampton from Chelsea and is impressing this season, with seven goals in 12 starts in all competitions. But according to Crook, the Saints needn’t be worried about losing him this month.
The talkSPORT journalist tweeted out on his personal account that Southampton are ‘not concerned’ and that the player is ‘committed at least until the end of the season.’
He did acknowledge West Ham’s interest though and said ‘let’s see what happens after that’ – suggesting a move in the summer is possible.
Needed
Armando Broja would be the perfect addition to this West Ham side this month, so it’s no surprise that Southampton aren’t looking to lose him.
Big, strong, a powerful runner and an intelligent footballer, Broja has had a great season so far and has all the attributes to fit right in with David Moyes’ current squad.

The fact he won’t be able to be prized away from the Saints won’t be a shock as it was always going to be a long shot, but that calibre of player is exactly what Hammers fans want.
A move in the summer may be worthwhile waiting for instead of signing another striker just for the sake of it, but they’ll likely need to pay a premium and will face stiff competition for the ‘excellent‘ 20-year-old.
It’s a shame that the deal won’t happen this month, but it’s encouraging to know West Ham are active in the market as we enter the final week of the window.
