Kurt Zouma medical update emerges amid West Ham United transfer talks
West Ham United and an unnamed Saudi Pro League side have scheduled a medical for Kurt Zouma to exit the London Stadium, according to Graeme Bailey.
The journalist reported via HITC on Tuesday (6 August) that the Frenchman, who is not part of Julen Lopetegui’s plans in East London, is ready to end his time with the Irons and is open to a move to the Middle East.
Al-Qadsiah had spoken to the defender earlier in the summer transfer window and remains a potential destination, but it isn’t yet clear which club have held progressive transfer talks with the Hammers.
Will Kurt Zouma exit West Ham amid Saudi Pro League transfer rumours?
It is probably in everyone’s interest that Zouma exits West Ham this summer as the Frenchman has struggled for form and consistency over the last couple of seasons at the London Stadium.
The former Chelsea man has always struggled with fitness and injury issues and at times last season, it looked as though he was having to nurse himself through games while carrying some sort of knock or niggle constantly.
With Max Kilman already signed this summer and further defensive recruits targeted between now and the end of the transfer window, it is hard to see where Zouma will feature under Lopetegui if he doesn’t leave this summer.

The Hammers would much rather spend his wages on a player who is going to play week in and week out under the former Real Madrid boss, whether that sees a like-for-like replacement signed or a completely different style of player.
Hopefully, some more details will emerge about this deal sooner rather than later so that it can be completed long before the transfer window slams shut at the end of August.
