Juventus stance emerges as West Ham United eye £30m+ Matias Soule transfer
Juventus will have to sell players to balance the books this summer as West Ham eye a move for attacker Matias Soule, according to Mirko Di Natale.
The Tutto Juve journalist reported on 12 June that the Hammers have already initiated contact to see what the next steps are towards signing the 21-year-old Argentine this summer.
It’s understood that they will be asked to shell out a fee in the region of £33.7million if they are to sign Soule who’s on the back of an impressive 11-goal campaign at Frosinone on loan.
Via Twitter, Di Natale wrote: “West Ham are among the clubs that has asked for information about the Argentine talent.
“There’s a lot of appreciation for him. Let’s see if there will be a club that will bring in €40million,
“Giuntoli also said it, some important transfers will also have to be made for sustainability.”
West Ham must look to negotiate transfer for Matias Soule
The Hammers can exploit Juventus’ financial situation to lower the price for Soule by leveraging the Italian club’s need to balance their books through player sales.
Their current predicament makes them more inclined to sell players at a lower price to meet their sustainability goals.
The Hammers can use this knowledge to their advantage during negotiations, especially as Soule seems to be a player they admire.
They could start by offering a lower initial fee, knowing that Juventus might be more open to accepting it due to their financial predicament.
Additionally, the Irons could structure the deal to include performance-related bonuses or a sell-on clause, which would provide Juventus with potential future revenue streams.
By highlighting the financial benefits of a quick sale and the potential long-term financial gains through add-ons, West Ham can put pressure on Juventus to accept a lower fee for Soule.
