Juventus make enquiry for exit-linked West Ham United star Gianluca Scamacca – Di Marzio
West Ham striker Gianluca Scamacca has been the subject of an enquiry from Juventus, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
The Italian transfer specialist claimed on 11 July that the Serie A giants have approached the Hammers for “more information” about the ex-linked forward’s availability as they prepare for the potential departure of Dusan Vlahovic.
But the 24-year-old is reported to favour a move back to Rome – his city of birth – with Roma recently being heavily linked with the Italian international.

Bidding war
The more clubs that are interested in a move for Scamacca is clearly better for West Ham if they are open to letting him leave this summer, with a bidding war likely to ensue to secure his services.
While the fact he has joined the rest of the squad on the pre-season tour to Australia shows he isn’t desperate to leave the East Londoners, there has been strong reports that he would like to return to Italy.
It will be interesting to see whether a move to Juventus does peak his interest, given that he is a Roma supporter and their director of football, Tiago Pinto, has made it clear he is a fan of Scamacca.

The most important thing for us is to have a swift resolution to the transfer saga to ensure it doesn’t have an impact on the rest of the squad and to also allow David Moyes to get a replacement in before the start of the Premier League season.
But with the rumours continuing to rumble on, it doesn’t look like the situation will come to a close any time soon.
In other West Ham news, the Hammers are one of a number of Premier League clubs battling it out for a 20-goal Ligue 1 striker.
