Jarrod Bowen makes transfer decision on Liverpool amid West Ham United contract news
West Ham star Jarrod Bowen has rejected interest from Newcastle United and Liverpool in favour of signing a new seven-year deal to remain at the London Stadium, according to talkSPORT.
The digital news publication shared the update via their Twitter page on 8 October, reporting that the new deal is expected to make Bowen the new highest-paid player at the East London club.
Bowen’s flying start to the season saw the Hammers accelerate efforts to agree to a new deal, while suggestions of interest from Liverpool in particular made tying him down an issue of paramount importance.
Securing the future of the club
At 26 years old, this new deal will see Bowen pull on a Hammers shirt until he is well into his 30s, in a huge commitment from the player to the club and the club to the player after he wrote himself into West Ham legend last season with his Conference League-winning goal.
So far this season, Bowen has seven combined goals and assists in eight appearances, with five goals in his first seven Premier League games so far, as he has picked up from where he left off last season.
Getting him tied down to a new contract and warding off interest from two of their Premier League rivals will be a massive coup for the Hammers, who are aiming to remain competitive across all four competitions they are involved in last season.

As mentioned before, Bowen wrote himself into West Ham folklore last season, and with the signing of this contract, he will cement his place in the history of the club, with an outstanding commitment to David Moyes’ side.
