Jacob Ramsey stance emerges as West Ham ‘confidence’ grows after talks
Jacob Ramsey could take West Ham United to another level if he lands at the London Stadium this summer.
West Ham earned a hard-fought 2-1 win against Everton on Wednesday (30 July) in the second confrontation of their United States tour.
There were several main takeaways from the game, including the importance of Lucas Paqueta in the functioning of this team. But the most important relates to the midfield, which still needs a couple more reinforcements before the season commences.
Ramsey is a name that has decorated the Hammers’ thoughts before. And given the state of the midfield, he could be the boost which takes them to the next level.
West Ham ‘confident’ of convincing Ramsey to sign
As reported by GiveMeSport on Thursday (31 July), Ramsey is one name discussed to bolster Graham Potter’s midfield options.
It is understood that West Ham have made a strong pitch to sign Ramsey. However, they could miss out on his transfer as he is prepared to stay at Aston Villa unless a club challenging for European qualification and silverware approaches.

A potential deal looks difficult given West Ham finished 14th in the Premier League last season. However, the Hammers’ determination to get this deal done is a huge positive for fans.
Given the stakes and their confidence to turn Ramsey’s head, supporters can sleep comfortably knowing that their team has competitive aspirations next season.
Ramsey would be a good addition
The Villa midfielder was one of the top performers in the Premier League last season and would be a much-needed boost for the Hammers.
Ramsey scored four goals and provided seven assists for the Villans in all competitions, as well as putting up several top-class individual performances. He offers dynamism in the midfield that causes trouble for defenders with his pace and combination play.
