Jacob Ramsey has decided on move to West Ham amid Aston Villa exit rumours
West Ham are reportedly keen on signing Aston Villa attacking midfielder Jacob Ramsey before the transfer window closes.
Graham Potter will be looking to put the disappointing 2024/25 campaign in the rear-view mirror and push for a top-half finish in the upcoming season.
So far this summer, the Hammers have signed El Hadji Malick Diouf, Kyle Walker-Peters and Callum Wilson.

Ramsey not prioritising London Stadium transfer
According to Give Me Sport sources (5 August), the Villa midfielder is not prioritising a move to the Irons this summer.
Currently, he has no intention of sealing a transfer to the London Stadium and joining forces with Potter.
However, this has not deterred West Ham from their pursuit and they will look to convince him.

The Villa Park outfit may be compelled to cash in on the 24-year-old after missing out on Champions League qualification.
As he’s a homegrown player, any money made from his sale would count as a pure profit on their PSR accounts.

West Ham may have to move on from Ramsey
West Ham need to move on from pursuing Ramsey because he appears content at his boyhood club and is unlikely to push for a transfer.
Ramsey, with 167 appearances, 17 goals and 19 assists for Villa, is a key part of Unai Emery’s squad, which will be competing in Europe next season.
His happiness at Villa, where he’s developed since his youth days, makes him reluctant to leave, especially for the Hammers after their dismal season.
Ramsey’s lack of enthusiasm to move to the East London club could disrupt squad harmony and that is not something Potter would want.
He would likely prefer targeting players eager to join, ensuring alignment with his vision for a competitive, cohesive squad aiming for a top-half finish.
It remains to be seen until when the Hammers pursue with Ramsey because it may all prove to be futile if he does not engage in discussions.
