How Mohamed Salah has thrown spanner into works for Adama Traore after West Ham exit

Adama Traore is still yet to find a new club after leaving West Ham United.

The Spaniard was only in East London on a short-term deal from January to the end of last season, and he failed to really add value to Nuno Espirito Santo's squad.

Ultimately, Traore and West Ham parted ways, leaving the winger as a free agent and able to talk with interested parties freely.

With the season's across Europe already returning or close to coming back, Traore will want to sort his future as soon as possible.

He has not been short of suitors but problems and complications out of his control have emerged over the last few weeks.

And former Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has played a role in his wait to discover his next destination.

What clubs have tried to sign Adama Traore this summer?

As stated Traore has had plenty of sides come in for his signature, but clearly that has not been a deal that suits both parties yet.

Back in June, Elche were in for Traore, in a deal they felt would benefit them both on the pitch and off it.

However, nothing emerged from that interest.

Now, according to the print edition of Spanish outlet Sport on 6 August, RC Deportivo are sounding out a move.

However, more interestingly is what they state about the involvement Salah has had on Traore's future.

The former West Ham winger was on the radar of Turkish side Trabzonspor before they signed the Egyptian.

It is now said that signing will "rule out" any other arrival in the right-wing position, meaning Traore is no longer on their radar.

What is next for Traore after West Ham exit?

Right now, it seems that RC Deportivo are the likely contenders to sign Traore, however, an offer is yet to be made.

The Spanish side are only recently promoted and adding a player such as Traore, who boasts vast experience, could help them stay up.

If there is one thing that Traore can take with him from West Ham, it is that experience in a relegation battle.

Having spent time at Barcelona, over two different spells, the 30-year-old is also familiar with the style of play in Spain.

It could ultimately be the perfect blend for all parties but West Ham fans will warn RC Deportivo to not get their hopes up that he can be a difference maker.
