Guido Rodriguez transfer bombshell drops in shock twist at West Ham
Guido Rodriguez faces an uncertain future at West Ham United just a year after joining them from Real Betis.
Rodriguez was one of the nine players West Ham signed last year, roping him in on a free transfer from Real Betis in a summer in which they spent over £120million.
The Argentina international has had a mixed time at the London Stadium so far, having been restricted to just 14 starts across all competitions.
He was notably linked with a move away from West Ham in the winter transfer window and is already being touted to leave when the summer window opens.

Rodriguez in River Plate transfer shocker
Rodriguez is clearly out of favour at West Ham, having made just two starts under Graham Potter since his arrival in January.
River Plate are looking to take advantage of the midfielder’s situation at the London Stadium by luring him back to Argentina.
Marcelo Gallardo’s side want to sign Rodriguez before the FIFA Club World Cup in the United States, according to TNT Sports Argentina.

The broadcasters reported via their website on Wednesday (9 April) that River Plate want the 30-year-old in their squad for the upcoming intercontinental competition.
They are aware that the negotiations will not be easy, as Rodriguez is contracted to West Ham until 2027.
However, River Plate are about to begin talks over a transfer anyway, with the player not ruling out a return to his former club.
Gallardo will rely on the ‘charm factor’ to take Rodriguez back to River Plate.

West Ham to cash in on Rodriguez
It is worth noting that clubs will have the chance to strengthen their squads for the Club World Cup between 1 and 10 June before the actual window opens later.
River Plate are hopeful of using that window to add Rodriguez to their ranks as they look to make significant progress in the upcoming tournament.
It would not be a surprise if West Ham sanctioned the midfielder’s transfer, especially since Potter does not favour him.
The Hammers could even pocket a small transfer fee for letting him go, which is a win-win considering he was signed for free last year.
