Galatasaray prepare new Soungoutou Magassa bid as West Ham await newly structured offer
Galatasaray have returned to West Ham with fresh interest in Soungoutou Magassa.
Magassa has been linked with a West Ham exit in January, but has yet to complete a move away from the London Stadium.
The Frenchman didn’t feature as West Ham lost 3-2 away to Chelsea, following the theme that has seen him fail to play in any of the last four Premier League fixtures.
That hasn’t stopped Magassa attracting interest from Galatasaray, although that did appear to have cooled off earlier in the window.
The Turkish giants have now reignited their interest in Magassa with very little remaining time in the January transfer window.

Galatasaray preparing Soungoutou Magassa offer
Magassa does look likely to leave West Ham after a bizarre spell in claret and blue since his summer move from Monaco.
The 22-year-old started Nuno Espirito Santo’s reign as a regular, but now appears to be a second-string option after such limited minutes since the turn of the year.
Besides a run-out in the FA Cup against QPR, the midfielder has played just 45 minutes of action in 2026, and that looks set to prompt an East London exit.
Galatasaray have shown interest previously, and they now look set to formalise that with a new offer ahead of deadline day.
Foot Mercato reported on Sunday that Gala have reignited their interest in Magassa and are favouring a loan deal with an option to buy.
The Turkish outfit want to utilise a temporary switch to see how the midfielder adapts to the Super Lig before agreeing to a permanent deal.
The French outlet has suggested that West Ham’s position on the transfer will become clear as the window ticks down towards its closure.
Magassa could force West Ham exit on deadline day
For a player to come to West Ham from Monaco and lose Champions League football for a relegation battle was always going to frustrate.
The irony with Magassa is that he knew what he was coming into, but is actually struggling for minutes rather than being a star man.
If Nuno doesn’t see a role for him in the starting XI, the midfielder still represents useful depth and may be keen to keep hold of him as an option.
The 22-year-old may not see things in the same way and may feel that his best option is to depart East London for regular minutes elsewhere.
Unless the Hammers can find a replacement, which feels unlikely, so it may be down to Magassa to force a deal through himself.
