Forgotten forward among three West Ham players whose futures could be decided by January

West Ham United still have some players to decide on after the summer transfer window.

The Hammers had an important summer of business in E20, most notably keeping the likes of Jarrod Bowen and Tomas Soucek.

The Irons did let some big-named players go, as Mateus Fernandes and Crysencio Summerville raked in some big money.

Despite several departures, there are still some players on the books at the London Stadium who may be on borrowed time ahead of the winter window.

Nuno Espirito Santo will have had a big period of time to fully assess his squad from the closing of the summer window to the opening of the winter market.

With that said, West Ham Zone takes a look at the three players who could yet leave the Hammers this season.

Soungoutou Magassa could get his wish

Soungoutou Magassa did not get the move away from West Ham that he desired in the summer window.

The Frenchman told the Irons that he wanted to leave, and was only in one matchday squad ahead of the deadline.

Magassa had interest from both Sevilla and Bologna, but the Hammers rejected the approaches.

It was an interesting move to make considering the noise surrounding his potential exit, as the next few months will be telling for his future.

Maxwel Cornet is still at West Ham?

The interesting case of Maxwel Cornet at West Ham continues.

Having signed from Burnley in 2022, he's since been out on loan three separate times - once with Southampton and twice with Genoa.

He returned to West Ham in the summer but was not involved in any pre-season matches, or any competitive games before the window slammed shut.

The winger is still contracted to West Ham, and is pictured in the new kit on the club's official website.

Cornet's future looks to be away from West Ham in the near future, and he could leave on loan or be sold in January for good.

Konstantinos Mavropanos could give West Ham a January curveball

West Ham did well to keep Konstantinos Mavropanos in the summer.

It was reported before the Hammers were even relegated that the centre-back wanted to leave ahead of the summer window opening.

Borussia Dortmund wanted Mavropanos, but appeared to move onto other targets.

If the Greek international continues performing well, it would be no surprise if a big European side came sniffing in the January window, and the Irons would have a battle on their hands to keep him.

It could all depend on how well West Ham are performing come the winter.
