Fabrizio Romano: West Ham United to accept ‘really crazy’ Mohammed Kudus bid

West Ham would only entertain a “really crazy” offer for Mohammed Kudus, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Itallian journalist revealed to Give Me Sport (15 May) that there is no guarantee Kudus’ release clause will come into effect this summer.

Romano said, “I think it has to be a really crazy proposal because West Ham, at the moment, are not commenting about this release clause.

“Sources guarantee that a release clause is included in his contract, but it is not guaranteed to start this summer. It’s still a tricky situation.”

Mohammed Kudus has become a key player for West Ham United at the London Stadium

In what has been an incredibly difficult season for the Hammers, Kudus has been a shining light.

The Ghana international has settled well into life at the London Stadium, and the club will be keen to keep hold of him.

With David Moyes leaving at the end of the season, the futures of a few players will certainly be up in the air.

However, Kudus should not be one of those players.

The midfielder has quickly become a key performer in East London and Julen Lopetegui will likely be keen to utilise Kudus’ talent next season.

West Ham
Mohammed Kudus has been a key performer for West Ham this season.

With 13 goals and seven assists to his name during his debut season in England, those numbers will likely only improve as Kudus becomes more familiar with life in the Premier League.

West Ham could struggle to keep hold of their star man over the coming years, but for this summer at least, it looks as if Kudus is set to stay put.
