Fabrizio Romano drops West Ham United transfer update on future of Mohammed Kudus
Fabrizio Romano has shared what he’s been told about Mohammed Kudus potentially leaving West Ham just months after joining the club.
Kudus signed in a deal worth in excess of £38m from Ajax in the summer and has hit the ground running, establishing himself as a regular starter under David Moyes.
But after big clubs like Chelsea showed an interest in the summer there have been suggestions they could look to make his stay in east London short, but Romano told his Daily Briefing (6 December) that there is no such deal on the horizon for the Ghana international.

“Mohammed Kudus – We know there was interest from other clubs in the summer, but Kudus joined West Ham just 100 days ago, so it’s too early to talk already about his next move,” he said.
“I think it would be disrespectful to mention other clubs at this stage. He’s now adapting to new league, new club, doing very well. It’s not time for him to think about a new transfer from what I’m told.”
Brilliant
When you have a fantastic talent in your squad and you’re not competing at the very highest level, then it’s no surprise at all when rumours persist around their future.
But Kudus has barely got his feet under the table at West Ham and any sort of exit would be baffling on our part because he’s become a key member of the squad and is playing well.

The team aren’t performing to our full potential right now but we’re not doing badly and it would be odd if he was already looking for a way out too, so this can only be good news.
Romano is usually reliable when it comes to transfer chat, so when he says there is nothing on the horizon and that the player is happy then you listen.
Kudus will be at West Ham for a while yet and anyone who wants to change that will be forced to cough up a huge chunk of change, so it’s not even worth paying attention to right now.
