Fabrizio Romano details Jarrod Bowen response when offered new West Ham United contract
Jarrod Bowen has agreed a new long-term deal to stay at West Ham, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Italian journalist reported in his Daily Briefing on Sunday (8 October) that the England international said yes to the Hammers’ proposal as he is keen to stay as a “key part” of the project moving forward.
He added that it is a “big boost” for David Moyes as he was desperate to nail down the 26-year-old forward to a new deal after losing Declan Rice over the summer.

“Jarrod Bowen has agreed a new long-term deal at West Ham,” said Romano. “It’s all done, one more piece of excellent news for the West Ham winger after his recent England national team call-up.
“This is great news for West Ham as they hold on to an important player – my understanding is that Bowen said yes to the club’s proposal as he was keen to stay as a key part of the project.
“After the blow of losing Declan Rice, this is a big boost for the project of David Moyes, who did such an impressive job to deliver a European trophy last season.”
Massive
This is massive news for West Ham as Bowen is absolutely crucial to the side and has been a consistent performer over the past few years.
Since signing for the Hammers in January 2020, the winger has made the spot on the right-hand side of the forward line his own, scoring 45 goals and laying on 33 assists in 166 appearances.
He is currently one of the most in-form players in the league and has understandably received interest from some of the country’s top clubs.

The Irons’ hierarchy has done a fantastic job in persuading him to sign a new deal and it sounds as though he is very keen to continue helping the club push forward.
The fans will be looking forward to seeing the Englishman deliver plenty more fantastic moments for us over the next few years to add to the many that he has also provided at the London Stadium.
