An announcement is expected soon as West Ham close in on the capture of Spartak Moscow midfielder Alex Kral, according to ExWHUemployee.

“He has not officially put pen to paper but everything is done and he is expected to join before the deadline,” Ex said.

Kral is due to join up with his Czech Republic teammates Vladimir Coufal and Tomas Soucek at the London Stadium after both joined the Irons in 2020.

Soucek joined on an initial loan deal in January 2020, making a huge impression in east London as he helped David Moyes’ side to Premier League safety.

He was joined by Coufal in the summer and the duo spearheaded the club’s pursuit of European football which ended in success as the Irons finished sixth in the Premier League.

Now, Kral will join the midfield ranks and look to compete with Soucek, Declan Rice and Mark Noble.

Soucek and Rice look like mainstays in midfield, but Kral will allow for more rotation as the Irons look to deal with their Europa League schedule.
