Emerson Palmieri makes West Ham United transfer decision amid exit links – Fabrizio Romano

Emerson Palmeri looks set to stay at West Ham United despite links with Turkish Super Lig clubs, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The transfer specialist reported via his official X account on 11 September that the Italy international is “very happy” at the London Stadium and has no interest in leaving

This comes despite recent transfer links to the likes of Galatasaray who added the 30-year-old to their list of last-minute transfer targets [Sabah].

Emerson Palmeri makes West Ham future decision

The left-back has become a regular feature in East London since completing a move from Chelsea back in 2022.

This saw him be patient under David Moyes to displace Aaron Cresswell and now finds himself as a near enough guaranteed starter under Julen Lopetegui.

The former Roma star is a useful asset in the starting XI given the technical ability he possesses and his usefulness from set pieces.

With that being said, it would have proved to be a bizarre decision to let him go to the Turkish Super Lig now, especially being just a couple of weeks after the transfer window shut in England.

This may have been a deal that Lopetegui and Co. could have weighed up over the summer but it is a no brainer to turn down for the benefit of his squad right now.

It is clear to see that Emerson himself is happy at the London Stadium and that will ultimately result in him playing his best football, which is only positive for the Hammers.
