Dharmesh Sheth shares West Ham United stance on Ibrahim Osman in £15m transfer update
West Ham United will be satisfied if Nordsjaelland winger Ibrahim Osman can have “half the impact” of Mohammed Kudus.
That is according to Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth, who has explained that talks are advancing between the two clubs to sign the player this month.
Sheth added that Osman, who came from the same academy as Kudus, will cost the Hammers in the region of £15million.
When asked whether West Ham are close to making Osman their next signing, Sheth told GIVEMESPORT (24 January): “It certainly looks that way because talks are advancing between West Ham United and Nordsjaelland over the signing of the 19-year-old.
“We think that it is a permanent deal because his contract is actually up in the summer. The fee that is being talked about is in the region of £15million.
“He came from the same academy as Mohammed Kudus – the Right to Dream Academy. Maybe West Ham United are looking at it and thinking, ‘if he can have half the impact that Mohammed Kudus has had, that could be £15million well spent.’”
Exciting times
These are very exciting times for West Ham fans, with the supporters waiting to see just how much of an impact the teenage attacker can have at the London Stadium if a deal is completed this month.
Kudus has, of course, immediately hit the ground running following his switch from Ajax, with the winger one of the first names on the teamsheet under manager David Moyes.
The Ghana international isn’t the only recent signing to thrive early on, with midfield duo Edson Alvarez and James Ward-Prowse also enjoying themselves in claret and blue.
Young attacker Osman will be keen to have a similar impact if a deal goes through, although he will perhaps be allowed more time to settle given his age.

West Ham could certainly do with a new attacking face, with the Hammers needing all the firepower they can get in the final third as they look to continue challenging on all fronts this season.
In other West Ham news, a former Premier League referee has shared a “conundrum” verdict after a double Hammers controversy in the recent clash with Sheffield United.
