Dharmesh Sheth shares James Ward-Prowse exit twist at West Ham as talks held
James Ward-Prowse has not had the best of times at West Ham under Nuno Espirito Santo.
The midfielder has been far down the pecking order and is yet to appear for the head coach, with some West Ham players feeling sympathy for his situation.
Nuno has suggested Ward-Prowse has to leave to play, but so far, it has not been easy for him to secure that move.
With his future at West Ham looking in doubt, Ward-Prowse has been linked with Burnley, as he attempts to revive his career.
However, with the deadline whittling down, Scott Parker’s side have seemingly made a final decision on a potential transfer.
Burnley make James Ward-Prowse decision after talks with West Ham midfielder
Burnley had looked to be the most likely destination for Ward-Prowse this January window, but an update in the story reveals yet another twist in his West Ham career.
According to Dharmesh Sheth, the English midfielder’s prospective move to the Clarets is now off the table despite talks over a move.
The fellow Premier League strugglers are no longer seeking to sign the Hammers man, and that now leaves his immediate future hanging in the balance once more.

The 31-year-old has not featured for the club since Graham Potter was sacked back at the end of September, and if he cannot secure his future elsewhere, he will likely find himself in the reserves for the coming months.
At present, it is to the benefit of both the club and the player to part ways. The former Southampton man’s wages could be freed up, and he would get himself more playing time.

What will happen with James Ward-Prowse now?
It was quite the surprise to see Ward-Prowse in the West Ham squad in the 3-1 win against Sunderland. It marked the first time Nuno had included him in one of his squads.
However, despite the U-turn, it does not seem like it changes the grand scheme of things. The midfielder was still an unused substitute.
In all likelihood, a move away still seems to be the logical next step. Hopefully for everyone involved, there can be a swift conclusion before the end of the window.
There are still plenty of teams who could do with the qualities the Englishman has to offer, but he might have to settle for the Championship, with previous interest from former club Southampton.
It remains to be seen if the Saints make a move for Ward-Prowse in the coming days, or if another suitor emerges.
