David Sullivan stance shared as Jarrod Bowen sale claim made at West Ham

David Sullivan will not sell West Ham United favourite Jarrod Bowen “for any price”, according to Andy Dillon.

The journalist wrote in his column for The Sun’s print edition on Friday [22 November, page 50] that Sullivan considers Bowen his second-best signing at the club, behind only Dimitri Payet.

Bowen is regularly linked with a move away from the London Stadium, most recently to Tottenham and Newcastle United, but Dillon cannot see him going anywhere.

“Having pulled off what now appears a masterful deal buying Bowen from Hull for £22million, Sullivan would not sell him for any price,” Dillon wrote.

Jarrod Bowen to stay at West Ham United for years to come

Bowen has been an instant hit in East London from the moment he arrived from Hull City; his reputation only increasing in the years since.

It is inevitable that a bottom-half side’s best player will be linked to teams higher up the division, which is a sad truth the Irons are facing right now.

But Bowen has made it clear he is happy where he is and Sullivan has absolutely no reason to cash in on the forward.

Indeed, if he did, with the club in the predicament they are in right now, there would be uproar at the London Stadium.

That is not something supporters have to worry about, though, with Bowen set to be a regular feature in the starting line-up for years to come.

The only real question is exactly who he will be playing under come next season, with growing doubts over manager Julen Lopetegui.
