Danny Ings transfer update emerges at West Ham United amid summer exit speculation
West Ham United are yet to receive an official approach for Danny Ings during the summer transfer window, according to Roshane Thomas.
The Athletic journalist reported on Friday (12 July) that the Hammers are yet to field any offers for the former England international despite suggestions he was closing in on a move away from East London.
Southampton has reportedly been interested in bringing the 31-year-old back to St Mary’s, however, sources close to the club have since distanced themselves from links with an interest in Ings [talkSPORT, 9 July].

Julen Lopetegui is understood to be keen to add to his striking options at the London Stadium this summer, with Aston Villa forward Jhon Duran the leading candidate to fill the void at the top of the pitch [Evening Standard, 9 July].
With more competition set to arrive in the coming weeks, it seems unlikely Ings will play a major role under the former Real Madrid manager next season unless he makes a huge impression during pre-season training and fixtures.
It would probably be best for all parties if the 31-year-old were to complete a move away from the London Stadium to a different Premier League side. But for that to happen, someone has to be interested in signing him.
At the moment, no clubs seem to be in a rush to secure the striker’s signature and while that is the case, Lopetegui is going to have to find a role for him in his side rather than leave him to rot in the reserves.
Hopefully, some more interest and some formal offers will arrive sooner rather than later. The transfer window might start to heat up a bit once the Copa America and the Euros are out of the way in the next few days.
