Danny Ings has no intention of leaving West Ham United in January – Roshane Thomas
Danny Ings has no intention or interest in leaving West Ham United in the January transfer window despite struggling for form, according to Roshane Thomas.
Writing on their website (13 December), The Athletic journalist reports that the 31-year-old striker is frustrated that Hammers fans have not seen the best of him since his £15m move from Aston Villa in January.
There have been suggestions that Ings could leave after falling behind Jarrod Bowen, Michail Antonio and Divin Mubama in the pecking order but according to Thomas, a transfer is not in Ings’ plans currently.

“Ings is frustrated that supporters have not consistently seen the best of him,” he wrote.
“He is determined to make things work and has no interest in exploring a potential departure in January.”
Struggles
Most people felt that when Ings signed that the club’s goalscoring troubles from the number nine position would be somewhat solved.
Michail Antonio has never been a prolific goalscorer while Gianluca Scamacca looked like he was trying to find a way out almost as soon as he arrived, and so Ings’ arrival made a lot of sense.
But he just never really managed to make an impact and it seems as though the style of play that David Moyes likes to employ just doesn’t suit him.

An exit in January seemed inevitable considering the current state of play and suggestions that the club want to sign another striker, but if Ings doesn’t go then it will seemingly be impossible to do that.
This is an interesting scenario and one that everyone will need to keep an eye on because as we saw when we signed him, it’s something that could potentially develop rather quickly.
In other West Ham news, £21.5m deal agreed for brand new transfer.
