Crysencio Summerville picks final destination as Aston Villa agree West Ham United fee

Crysencio Summerville is days away from leaving West Ham United.

Despite last season ending in relegation to the Championship, the winger was called up by the Netherlands for the World Cup.

What followed was a breakthrough tournament under Ronald Koeman after making his senior international debut.

Even before that though, Summerville was always destined for the exit.

Nuno Espirito Santo and Jarrod Bowen may be staying at the London Stadium, but certain sales were needed to cover losses.

Summerville will become the second big-money exit following Mateus Fernandes, but it's just a question of where he goes now.

West Ham Zone have covered the news that Summerville has agreed on personal terms with AS Roma already.

Despite that, the Italians are still struggling to reach a deal with West Ham.

With two bids rejected, the door is still open for others to step in, something that may please Aston Villa.

Luca Cerchione of OcW Sports in Italy has reported that while Roma have Summerville's agreement, Villa have done the same with West Ham.

Aston Villa have agreed a fee with the Irons for Summerville, but don't yet have the player's green light, who currently prefers to join Roma.

With a five-year contract sorted in the Italian capital, it's said that Roma must speed up or risk losing out completely to Villa.

How much do West Ham want to sell Crysencio Summerville?

After selling Fernandes to Tottenham for £85m, the Hammers aren't as desperate for money.

But, Summerville and others will still go.

West Ham are said to want £50m, that has been the price that has been branded around for weeks now in the capital.

Roma were intent on paying £45m for Summerville, but that hasn't been enough so far, and won't be at any stage.

The problem for the Italians is the business of Aston Villa.

Morgan Rogers is set to join Chelsea for a gigantic £117m this week, and that just unlocks the door to huge funds to be spent.

As you've seen with this reported agreement over Summerville, unlike Roma, Villa haven't messed around and paid the money asked.

It still may not be enough, with Summerville holding out for Italy, with the winger holding the keys to his own future.

But, if Roma don't cough up the cash, it looks like it's Villa Park or nowhere.
