Roma are still pushing hard to sign West Ham United winger Crysencio Summerville.

It is fast becoming an inevitability that the Netherlands winger will depart the London Stadium this transfer window.

West Ham's relegation from the Premier League meant there would be inevitable sales, with Mateus Fernandes already departing for Tottenham Hotspur.

Summerville has been linked with several clubs, with Manchester United, Aston Villa, and Paris Saint-Germain having been named among his suitors.

However, in the past week, it is Roma who have emerged as the front-runners to take Summerville to Serie A in this window.

A new report has revealed how much Roma could now be willing to pay to get the Summerville deal over the line.

How much will Roma pay to sign West Ham ace Crysencio Summerville?

West Ham Zone has previously covered talk that Summerville's representatives met with Roma last week.

It was said then that talks would continue to find a resolution, with the price tag and Summerville's demands both noted as potential sticking points.

However, Il Tempo journalist Filippo Biafora has now reported that Roma are intent on paying a release clause in the region of £45million (€53m) for Summerville.

Biaforo adds that Roma now have a total agreement in place with Summerville, who is keen on making the move to Italy.

Now, the only steps needed to take are the "formal steps" with West Ham to get the deal over the line and confirm Summerville's exit, Biafora says.

Confusion over Summerville release clause at West Ham

While Biafora's report talks of a "release clause" in regards to Summerville, there is still some confusion over that aspect.

Indeed, according to Sky Sport Italia journalist Gianlucas Di Marzio, there is no release clause in Summerville's West Ham contract.

He does, though, add that Roma are negotiating relentlessly to get a deal done with the Hammers.

The Giallorossi have also been linked to the likes of Alejandro Garnacho and Diego Moreira as they consider potential alternatives.

But it is evident that Summerville is their top target to play on the left wing next season, and West Ham could bank a decent profit on his sale.
