Chelsea could sanction Armando Broja transfer to West Ham United in January on one condition
West Ham United could be given the chance to sign Armando Broja from Chelsea in January on one condition, according to Football.London (14 November).
The Hammers were strongly linked with the Albania international in the summer of 2022 before he suffered a serious knee injury, and the club then signed Gianluca Scamacca instead.
But the club are still in the market for a new forward after the Italian moved on in the summer after just one season, and with Chelsea interested in signing Victor Osimhen from Napoli in January a report claims they could sanction Broja’s exit away from the club.

“Chelsea could sanction a departure for Armando Broja in their bid to buy Victor Osimhen from Napoli,” they wrote.
“West Ham could renew their interest in the Chelsea man in January with their interest well known. The Hammers were one of several Premier League clubs monitoring Broja’s situation 18 months ago before Thomas Tuchel revealed he was going nowhere, even tabling a bid worth in excess of £30m in a bid to land their man.”
Exciting
Broja was a player coming off a loan at Southampton two years ago and West Ham were interested, but it was still seen as a bit of a gamble transfer for where we are.
His serious knee injury no doubt stagnated his development a bit, but the talent he has is absolutely clear and he has been given opportunities at Stamford Bridge too.

West Ham’s hunt for a new striker is still ongoing with Michail Antonio ageing and struggling for form, while Danny Ings isn’t part of the plans at the club and Divin Mubama’s future is up in the air with his contract situation.
If Mubama and Ings are allowed to leave in January that would open up a big spot for Broja to come into the London Stadium, and Moyes would surely still be a huge fan after watching him for so long.
It’s a large condition with Osimhen likely to be a very expensive signing and Napoli unlikely to be willing sellers, but if the opportunity arises West Ham must be ready to pounce.
