Carlos Soler set for Premier League return despite West Ham loan flop
West Ham are set to see multiple outgoings throughout the summer transfer window as the Hammers look to overhaul their squad.
The Hammers need signings this summer if they are to avoid a relegation battle, with more impact needed than the likes of Carlos Soler.
With PSR being a big issue for West Ham, Graham Potter is going to have to be smart with his signings.
Therefore, multiple stars are likely to leave the London Stadium in an effort to balance the squad and reduce the wage budget.
However, many of these players could end up at fellow Premier League sides.

Soler wanted by Brighton already
Soler has struggled since securing his loan move to West Ham in the summer from PSG.
The Spaniard was a regular under Julen Lopetegui but has been unable to force his way into the starting XI under Potter.
This is despite the Hammers’ declining form and frustrating set of results under the Englishman.

Therefore, it won’t come as a surprise that West Ham are not planning on activating Soler’s option to buy when his deal expires at the end of the season.
Yet, it seems that Soler could be returning to the Premier League next season.
According to Le Parisien via PSG talk (24 May), Brighton are keen on bringing Soler to the Amex Stadium next season.
The Seagulls go into the final day with still an outside chance of returning to Europe, which could tempt the 28-year-old into making the move.

Soler wasn’t given a chance under Potter
While Soler may have disappointed in his loan spell at West Ham, he was never truly given a chance under Potter.
The majority of the 28-year-old’s appearances came from the bench, with the midfielder given few starts despite few stars performing throughout the campaign.
Therefore, it is no surprise that another Premier League side wants to give Soler another shot at football in the English top-flight.
If Soler does move to Brighton and performs, it will no doubt put further pressure on Potter as his ability to judge his squad will be questioned further.
