Carlos Soler arrives in London as West Ham United make transfer breakthrough
PSG midfielder Carlos Soler has arrived in London as he’s set to finalise his loan move to West Ham, according to Sky Sports.
The news broadcaster reported via its transfer centre on 30 August at 16:29 that the Spanish midfielder has touched down in the United Kingdom.
The deal is understood to be on a season-long loan as Julen Lopetegui is set to add another midfielder to his ranks.
West Ham must announce Carlos Soler’s transfer soon
The Hammers have been chasing the 27-year-old for weeks and he’s finally arrived in London ahead of his move.
It’ll undoubtedly be an important piece of the jigsaw for Lopetegui as he would’ve told Tim Steidten that Soler is the player he wanted.
There have been numerous players linked with a move to the London Stadium but it turns out that the Hammers are set to sign the PSG man.
Soler too will be looking to prove his credentials after being undermined as a squad player at the Parc des Princes.
He’s expected to get more game time in London and Lopetegui may just be the manager who can bring the best out of him.
Hopefully, there are no more snags in this deal and that an announcement is made quickly before anything happens.
In other West Ham news, the club have agreed personal terms for a new signing as they look to seal a deadline-day blitz.
