Callum Wilson agrees West Ham transfer amid David Sullivan reveal
David Sullivan will be pleased that West Ham appear set to welcome Callum Wilson to the London Stadium this summer.
The Hammers ramped up their efforts in the window by signing El Hadji Malick Diouf and Kyle Walker-Peters. However, the London club are still yet to bring in an attacking player.
Wilson has emerged as a leading target, given that the striker has been without a club since departing Newcastle at the end of last season.
And it now seems that West Ham could welcome the Englishman to the London Stadium.

Wilson’s agent shares a close relationship with Sullivan
As reported by talkSPORT on Friday (25 July), Wilson has agreed terms with West Ham over a move to the London Stadium.
While he has attracted interest from Leeds United and Saudi Arabian clubs, the Hammers are currently leading the race for the forward.
It is understood that Wilson’s agent, Will Salthouse, has a close relationship with Sullivan. This encouraged Salthouse to approach the West Ham owner over a move for the Englishman.
Furthermore, Sullivan seems to have pulled off a financial masterstroke, responding with an offer of minimal salary with bonuses for appearances and goals. It is believed to be similar to the deal Newcastle offered Wilson to continue at St James’ Park.
But it looks like Wilson is fair more amenable to West Ham’s demands, with the 33-year-old expected to become the Hammers’ third signing of the summer.

Wilson would be a good rotational option for the Hammers
West Ham need some attacking firepower now that Mohammed Kudus has moved to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
While he is 33 years old, Wilson is Premier League proven, which could be a boost for Graham Potter, who is looking to improve his side’s league record.
However, it is unlikely that the striker will be able to become a consistent starter at the London club. Last season, he made 22 appearances for Newcastle and netted once, nine fewer than in the 2023/24 season.
Season | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
2024/25 | 22 | 1 | – |
2023/24 | 26 | 10 | 1 |
He indeed played fewer minutes last season compared to the season prior. Nevertheless, it is clear to see that he is on the decline, and the Hammers’ reported contractual offer reflects this.
Therefore, while Wilson will be a good rotational option, West Ham should consider investing in another forward this summer.
