Axel Disasi transfer now faces late collapse as West Ham medical underway
West Ham are in a race against time to secure Axel Disasi on loan from Chelsea.
Nuno Espirito Santo has been keen on adding a centre-back to his ranks in the transfer window, and the Hammers have left it late for the Chelsea star.
The Irons were initially waiting for Disasi to give his own approval, but he soon rejected other offers to come to E20 and play for Nuno.
It now seems like both parties may have taken too long to come to an agreement, despite Disasi currently undergoing his medical with the Hammers.

Axel Disasi’s West Ham move in doubt
West Ham struck an agreement to sign Disasi, but that doesn’t mean that the Irons will get the transfer over the line for the defender before Monday’s deadline.
Chelsea have been keen to offload the centre-half, with him not in Liam Rosenior’s plans for the second half of the season.
But there is now a possibility that West Ham don’t land their man after all, with time ticking away.
According to Jacob Steinberg on X, despite Disasi being in the middle of his medical ahead of a loan move to West Ham, the deal being finalised in time remains in doubt.
What happens next will prove the urgency of internal figures at West Ham, as there’s still a chance for the deal to go through after Monday’s deadline through submitting a deal sheet.
The Hammers would then give themselves an extra two hours to complete any further official documents for the transfer.

Who would Disasi replace?
West Ham have a couple of centre-backs who currently draw negative opinions from supporters.
Max Kilman, in particular has come under fire for poor performances, while Jean-Clair Todibo didn’t cover himself in glory when getting sent off against Chelsea this past weekend.
However, the French defender could form a formidable partnership with Disasi at the heart of the defence – if the deal goes through.
But this would most likely come at the expense of Kilman, with Nuno still in favour of playing a five-at-the-back formation at times.
But the Irons need to seriously hope that the deal for Disasi is reached in time, otherwise they face a major risk of going down.
