‘Axel Disasi joins West Ham’ as late loan transfer now fully agreed

West Ham United have been the busiest Premier League team in the winter transfer window.

Adama Traore is the latest arrival at the London Stadium, signing from Fulham, with exits also being signed off on frequently.

Igor Julio has had his loan from Brighton cut short, with James Ward-Prowse joining Burnley after a well-known feud with Nuno Espirito Santo.

West Ham have made their move to start replacing them.

Step forward, Axel Disasi.

Axel Disasi joins West Ham United

West Ham have been linked with Disasi for several transfer windows now.

That hasn’t changed with the manager merry-go-round either, with Graham Potter and Nuno both in charge while that interest was noted.

Now, Matteo Moretto has reported that the French defender has moved to the London Stadium on loan.

Despite no official confirmation arriving as of yet, the Marca journalist simply wrote: “Axel Disasi joins West Ham on loan.”

What else could happen before deadline day?

With Disasi seemingly through the door to solve any defensive issues, Nuno may be looking at a new goalkeeper in the final four days.

Mads Hermansen only signed in the summer but could leave before Monday, with the Dane massively out of favour in the capital.

Alphonse Areola could also leave, but that seems highly unlikely given his current importance.

So, who could replace either of them should they leave?

The current favourite is Antonin Kinsky from Tottenham.

West Ham are said to be interested in another loan swoop for Kinsky, who could make the move across London with limited game time at Spurs.

Either way, with Disasi still not officially confirmed and more possibly to come, David Sullivan is going to be as busy as anyone going towards the deadline on Monday.

Nuno cannot complain about the backing he has received when it looks like he could have been sacked weeks ago, but he has managed to turn it around.
