Axel Disasi bombshell: West Ham loan offer for Chelsea transfer revealed
West Ham United have been offered the chance to sign Axel Disasi on loan from Chelsea, according to Jacob Steinberg.
However, the journalist, reporting via The Guardian website on Thursday (23 January), added that Graham Potter has already said no to the opportunity.
This is despite the Irons head coach being keen on adding a new centre-back to his ranks during the ongoing winter transfer window.
Chelsea one to keep an eye on for West Ham
Chelsea are one to keep an eye on for West Ham between now and the transfer deadline day on 3 February, not least because Potter previously managed them.
The Hammers have already been linked with loan moves for Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Carney Chukwuemeka this month [Ben Jacobs].
It is worth noting that, among the aforementioned players, Chukwuemeka played under Potter during his time as the Blues boss before being sacked in April 2023.
However, with Kyle Macaulay moving from Stamford Bridge to the London Stadium this week, West Ham will certainly have an eye on the available players at Chelsea.
The East London outfit are not spoiled for money this window after spending over £100million in the summer, which means loan moves for the likes of Dewsbury-Hall and Chukwuemeka make sense.

Potter, though, does not appear to be keen on the idea of signing Disasi on loan despite defence being an area he wants to strengthen for the second half of the season.
It remains to be seen if he has another options in mind in that position.
In other West Ham news, the Irons’ deal to sign this target has hit a snag with another agreement prioritised.
