Aston Villa could soon be ready to sell Jhon Duran as West Ham United approach made for Villa Park striker
Aston Villa may soon consider approaches for Jhon Duran after turning down an offer from West Ham, according to the Daily Mail.
The newspaper reported on its website on Thursday (25 January) that Chelsea are also interested in the 20-year-old striker.
The Daily Mail added that Villa may consider selling the player if they manage to sign Middlesbrough forward Morgan Rogers.
“Villa have already rebuffed an enquiry from West Ham for Duran this month as they want to ensure they have forward cover,” according to the Daily Mail.
“Villa are expected to continue talks with Middlesbrough for Morgan Rogers and, if successful, may then consider approaches for Duran.”
One in, one out?
The January transfer window deadline is rapidly approaching, and it looks like Aston Villa will be very busy before everything shuts down.
It certainly makes sense that Emery would want to bring in one attacker before letting another go. His recruitment at the club definitely cannot be questioned, neither can his decision making overall, with the manager doing a superb job at Villa Park.
The Midlands outfit are flying high under the Spaniard, with the powers that be foolish not to grant every one of his wishes at this moment in time.

Duran has shown promise during his limited time on the pitch, but Rogers has also proven his ability at Middlesbrough.

The 20-year-old has four goals from his 23 appearances in all competitions this season, while Rogers boasts seven goals from 33 appearances for Boro.
