Alex Kral’s agent jets into London to help West Ham transfer move along

Alex Kral’s agent has arrived in London to help move along a deal that sees the Spartak Moscow midfielder join West Ham on a loan-to-buy basis, according to the Evening Standard.

The newspaper reports that Kral, 23, has been a long-term target for David Moyes and “talks are ongoing” over a loan deal which includes an obligation for it to be made permanent next summer.

Kral’s agent is reportedly in London but there could be late drama for the Hammers as Czech Republic manager Jaroslav Silhavy is reluctant to let the midfielder leave his squad ahead of their World Cup qualifier versus Belarus on Thursday.

It is understood that “presents an issue” for West Ham, who have until 11pm today to complete the signing.

Oh no

Let’s hope that Kral is able to be released from international duty in order to sign for West Ham.

The Czech Republic should be able to beat Belarus with or without the Spartak Moscow midfielder so it’s odd to see their manager being touchy about letting him leave.

It’s likely that self-isolation and quarantine periods would put paid to Kral’s chances of getting back in time to play Belarus on Thursday but Silhavy won’t exactly endear himself to the player if he denies him a move to the Premier League.

Tomas Soucek and Vladimir Coufal should try and have a word but other than that, we don’t see why the club couldn’t find a way for Kral to get a medical done in the Czech Republic or wherever he is and get contracts signed via fax.

Moyes clearly likes Kral.

As quoted by the EVening Standard, Moyes said that the midfielder is “good on the ball and looks to protect his defence” while also having “bags or energy”.

He’ll be great to add some depth to our central options so let’s hope that his agent can smooth things over and get a move sorted.
