Alex Crook shares brand new transfer update on West Ham United-linked Antonio Nusa
West Ham United have checked on Club Brugge winger Antonio Nusa, according to talkSPORT reporter Alex Crook.
Crook added that the club’s London rivals Tottenham are, however, more advanced when it comes to a deal for the player.
The 18-year-old attacker has registered four goals and three assists from his 27 matches in all competitions this season.
“I was told this morning that one’s advancing, although West Ham have also checked on him,” Crook told GIVEMESPORT.
“But it’s the most advanced with Tottenham. I’m not sure he’s a player who will come in and tear up any trees straightaway, but this is quite a sensible signing for the future.”
Busy window?
It has been a relatively quiet January transfer window, with many Premier League clubs perhaps fearing any sanctions for breaching financial rules after the charges handed to Everton and Nottingham Forest.
West Ham have, however, already brought in one new player, with midfielder Kalvin Phillips arriving on loan. The England international has moved to the London Stadium from Manchester City for the remainder of the campaign.
He will undoubtedly strengthen David Moyes’s midfield, but perhaps the manager is now keen to bolster his attacking options.
And he would certainly be doing that with the signature of Nusa, but it looks like there will be a fierce battle with Tottenham this month for his services.

The youngster could be fired into the first team should he join the Hammers, but perhaps it would take him quite some time to get up to the speed of things in the English top flight.
