Adama Traore medical underway at West Ham – but who is Nuno going to sign next?

Adama Traore looks set to become a West Ham player this January.

Traore has spent Tuesday at Rush Green ahead of completing his move from Fulham to the London Stadium ahead of transfer deadline day.

The Spaniard could soon join the likes of Pablo and Taty Castellanos through the doors at West Ham after a busy window for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.

A replacement for Crysencio Summerville may be needed if he joins Roma, but for now, it looks as if the ex-Barcelona winger will provide cover on the flanks in E20.

Traore is currently undergoing his medical and could make way for further signings in East London with days remaining until the January market ends.

Adama Traore undergoing West Ham medical

West Ham have been linked with Traore ever since Nuno made the move to the capital after his Nottingham Forest departure.

It had looked as if a move for the forward was going to fall through as an agreement looked unlikely at one stage.

A January deal has now taken a turn, and a move from Craven Cottage now appears to be in the pipeline for the claret and blue outfit.

Sky Sports reporter Florian Plettenberg has reported that Traore is undergoing his West Ham medical on Tuesday after arriving at Rush Green earlier.

West Ham and Fulham reached a full agreement over a transfer, with a contract until the end of the season set to go through.

There will now be questions over the remaining days of the window and who else Nuno could bring in to his Hammers squad.

Who could West Ham sign after Adama Traore?

There have been plenty of names linked with a London Stadium switch this winter, with deals potentially still there to be done.

With Lucas Paqueta set to leave for Flamengo, there should be funds available to spend, but that needs to be utilised wisely rather than quickly.

West Ham have most recently been linked to Tottenham goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky, while Ricardo Pepi of PSV has emerged as a late target.

Who has been linked to West Ham in January?

Any of these names could soon follow Traore through the door in East London, with the hope of improving the Irons’ chances in the relegation battle.

There are plenty of options on the table for Nuno, so it will be interesting to see what business is conducted in the coming days.
