Aaron Wan-Bissaka transfer update as West Ham United set to complete triple-signing blitz
West Ham will push to add Aaron Wan-Bissaka after they look to complete a trio of new signings by the end of the weekend, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Italian journalist reported via X late on 2 August that the Hammers want “formal steps” tied up to bring in Niclas Fullkrug from Borussia Dortmund, Crysencio Summerville from Leeds United, and free agent Guido Rodriguez within the next 48 hours.
On top of that they are “trying to advance” the Wan-Bissaka deal both with Manchester United and the English defender and are “not giving up” on the move.
Noussair Mazraoui is lined up to head to Old Trafford from Bayern Munich “as soon as” Wan-Bissaka leaves.
West Ham to land Niclas Fullkrug, Crysencio Summerville and Guido Rodriguez
If the incredible work that Tim Steidten looks to have pulled off with the impending trio of arrivals all goes through without any late issues it will have turned the Irons’ window around in a matter of days.
Wan-Bissaka would then be looking something like the last piece of the puzzle for Julen Lopetegui at the London Stadium.
Moving on fringe players and high earners who are no longer part of the plans such as Nayef Aguerd would help top off the window, and potentially open the door to some late extras to arrive.
But other than potentially a back-up striker option to follow Fullkrug through the doors the four signings in question represent the key business after Max Kilman and Luis Guilherme’s arrivals.
Summerville has already passed his Hammers medical [Dharmesh Sheth, 2 August] ahead of the switch from Elland Road that will likely see him take the starting spot opposite Jarrod Bowen on the wing.
Rodriguez represents a coup of a free transfer after his Copa America win with Argentina as he arrives for a weekend medical [Romano, 2 August], with the likes of Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce overcome for the 30-year-old [Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, 2 August], who might signal the departure of a current midfield.
And in Fullkrug Steidten has finally secured the new starting striker that the club has needed for a year since Gianluca Scamacca left, with the German also now set for medical tests [Florian Plettenberg, 2 August].
In other West Ham news, the Irons have started work to sign an exciting French attacker as well.
