West Ham Super Fans have flocked to a post on the West Ham Zone Facebook page about Todd Cantwell.

Claret and Hugh claim that the Irons are looking at the Norwich City midfielder and could make a January move for him.

The 23-year-old has only made five Premier League appearances this season, totalling just 314 minutes on the pitch, but he could become available, and the Hammers might add him to their squad.

This news has drawn a mixed reaction from our Super Fans, who aren’t totally convinced he would be a good addition.

Is Cantwell the man for West Ham?

In Norwich’s 2019/20 Premier League campaign, the Englishman scored six goals and provided two assists and looked to be born to play in the division.

However, he remained at Carrow Road, and he only featured in 33 games in the Championship as Daniel Farke started playing other players instead.

That trend has continued into this season; Farke leaving the club might see Cantwell play from now until January.

Therefore, you can understand why some of our Super Fans aren’t convinced by Cantwell.

However, he proved what he could do in that first Premier League spell, so you could argue that he would be worth a punt for the Irons.

The way the players have developed under David Moyes and his coaching staff suggests that Cantwell could come on leaps and bounds if he were to make that move to the London Stadium.

Therefore, this could be a transfer to keep your eye on in January.
