This is part of a regular series from our panel of West Ham Super Fans. Each week, our Super Fans will deliver their verdicts on the biggest talking points and news stories around the London Stadium.
West Ham could not have been more unfortunate if they tried on Tuesday night as they lost to Manchester United in the FA Cup.
Scott McTominay’s extra-time winner decided the fifth-round tie at Old Trafford, sending David Moyes’ depleted side crashing out of the competition.
With Michail Antonio missing the game due to fatigue, Andriy Yarmolenko started up front for the Irons and lasted less than an hour before being forced off.
Angelo Ogbonna was also substituted off with an ankle injury after just 16 minutes and it seems the 32-year-old defender is facing a bit of a spell on the sidelines.
Hammers news website Claret & Hugh reports that Ogbonna will miss the Premier League clash with Sheffield United on Monday and on top of that, he could be out for at least a month.
It’s a major blow for the Irons, who’ve depended on the former Juventus and Torino man in their defence this season.
In all competitions, Ogbonna has made 25 appearances for West Ham, starting every Premier League match in the process.
To be without him for a month is something to dread and that’s the thoughts of some members of our West Ham Super Fans.

However one Super Fan isn’t as concerned as the others as he has faith in Issa Diop and Fabian Balbuena to step up and impress while Ogbonna recovers.
