West Ham United: Michail Antonio needs to be dropped v Wolves after what he did
David Moyes needs to drop Michail Antonio for West Ham United v Wolves following his miss and general performance in the Tottenham Hotspur draw.
Despite having less possession, the Hammers had their chances against Spurs and could have taken all three points.
Brennan Johnson’s early opener was cancelled out by Kurt Zouma and that was how the score stayed however things could have been so much different.
Antonio was sent in behind the defence and after shrugging off Micky Van de Ven he was clean through on goal. His tame effort was easily saved by Guglielmo Vicario in the end.
The game finished level and West Ham fans were left ruing what might have been should the Jamaican have taken his chance.
Michail Antonio should be dropped for West Ham
There is no doubt that Antonio has been a good servant for the Hammers since signing from Nottingham Forest in 2015.
Across 299 appearances in East London, he has accrued 79 goals in what has been an overly positive stint for the forward [FotMob].

Although he has had a good run in the team, he isn’t up to scratch in the Premier League as a striker as West Ham chase European football.
Against Spurs, he had just 34 touches across the whole game, compared to Lukasz Fabianksi who had 27, according to FotMob. On top of this, he failed to score from 0.72 xG and missed a big chance as mentioned earlier.
This performance could pave the way for youngster Divin Mubama to come in for his first Premier League start. The 19-year old has had a positive impact when given the chance despite only featuring five times this season.
The other option for Moyes is to start Danny Ings or even bring in Maxwel Cornet and play Jarod Bowen as a number nine.
Given that the England international has 20 goal involvements for the Hammers this season, that isn’t the worst prospect.
In other West Ham news, Gareth Southgate wanted to select a Hammers teammate of Jarrod Bowen’s for his latest squad.
